Here at the Murphy Gozzard Hair Community we love to embrace the most creative aspects of our industry. After all, we pride ourselves on being hair artisans and anything that allows us to put our technical skills and imaginative flair to work is something we relish. As the best salon in Paddington we feel we have a lot to live up to and we love showing our beloved clients that they are in very capable hands when it comes to translating trends to the chair.
MG is a loyal La Biosthetique partner and one of our favourite times of the year is Colour Lab time. Colour Lab is now in it’s second year and we have a particular soft spot for this exciting photographic competition as our very own Brett McKinnon was the 17/18 Winner! The purpose of the awards is for hair artists to push the boundaries of what is possible using La Biosthetique colour. Entries are judged on technical skill and creativity in showcasing the very frontier of colour as it combines with trend forecasting for 2020. In short, it’s a chance to let our imaginations run wild, have fun and show what we can do.
For the 2019 awards, we were thrilled to have 3 Finalists in the running out of a possible 6 spots! We are so proud to have such a large representation among the best colourists across Australia and New Zealand.

Our lucky finalists will be heading to the La Biosthetique La Soiree gala evening in Sydney this month where the winner will be announced. Fingers crossed for our trifecta and here’s hoping one of them takes home the award and enjoy a money can’t buy tour of Germany and France to learn from some of the best stylists from around the globe.
