Yet another Met Gala is done and as usual, the best hairdressers Sydney at Murphy Gozzard were ready to analyse and translate all the latest looks to bring them to you in salon. We love this event as it is truly one of the places where fashion designer and their amazing creativity can shine. It’s also where those celebs who tend to play it safe on other carpets let loose with their style.

At the best salon Paddington we pride ourselves on being able to create any look, from a classic buttery blonde balayage right though to something far more adventurous, like an experiment with micro-bangs.

The fringe’s edger sister, the micro version is a little bit more daring and fun, yet it is surprisingly wearable ad versatile. Not just for cropped pixies, it can add an unexpected feminine touch to hair of any length and can also work with a bit of wave. Here our award-winning hairdressers have hand-picked a few of our favourite fringes from The Met to help inspire your next chop.

Em Rata

This stunning look was created in tribute to one of Audrey Hepburn’s most iconic beauty signatures- her short, choppy fringe. The tumbling waves and oversized black velvet bow are proof this look works with length.

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia’s look was heavily inspired by the glamour and style of Old Hollywood actresses and was given a sleek and pulled back bun. The baby bangs are the hero of the look, adding a coquettish feminine vibe.

Lily James

This look walked the edgier line, inspired by a 90’s leather-core sharpness and a punk twist on classic Chanel, with classic images by icons like Lindbergh and Herb Ritts. It was incredibly structure to appear sharp but finished with leather cording and stunning bespoke leather flowers.
