Have you spotted the glorious new image adorning the front window of the best hair salon Paddington? We could not be more thrilled to bring happiness, sunshine and light to the streets of Sydney with our beloved client and friend Penelope ‘Penny’ Coombes writ large in our windows. You may remember Penny from our launch campaign back when we first opened our doors, and she looks more radiant than ever in this shoot.
Beauty is a concept which the Murphy Gozzard Hair Community will always approach with a distinctly different viewpoint and we aim to always challenge perceptions. Why is beauty so often relegated to the young? Why do companies so often push the wisdom and beauty of age aside? Why is age not embraced wholeheartedly?
Heritage is at the heart of what we do. Our hair community comprises a team of lifestyle artisans who continually explore the boundaries of their craft to create individual and tailored hairdressing both on and off the salon floor. For all great artisans, the traditions and skills that have been passed on from generation to generation are the backbone to their craft and we embrace this in the salon each and every day.
Here we have created a kaleidoscope of colour and vibrancy in a time when everything has felt decidedly grey and muted. It’s been a difficult year but we hope that this joyful celebration of life inspires a smile. We couldn’t be prouder to give our community the chance to see one of the members of our family in all her gorgeous glory.
This beautiful shoot was created by the team alongside some honorary creative members. The show stopping styling was created by Joanna Lichi and makeup artist Kimberley Forbes used this riot of colour as the inspiration for her palette. Of course the hair was left to our talented team who then set to work creating her tousled styles working with her natural texture, all accented with those vibrant silk scarves and rich patterns which allow her beautiful smile to take centre stage. Our incredible photographer Laura Riddle then tied it all together for us with her beautiful imagery which captures Penny’s zest for life.
Bringing Penny back to Paddington, we can’t wait for her literally stop traffic - again!
